5-5-5 BREATHING
The 5-5-5 breathing technique is a simple exercise that can quickly reduce stress and promote a sense of calm. This practice involves equal parts of inhaling, holding the breath, and exhaling. Sit comfortably with your spine straight and shoulders relaxed. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to settle in. Begin by inhal ing slowly through your nose for a count of five, filling your lungs com pletely. Hold your breath for a count of five, allowing the air to settle within your body. Exhale slowly and evenly through your mouth for a count of five, releasing all the air from your lungs. Continue this pattern for 5 to 10 minutes. Focus on the steady and even rhythm of your breath, and allow each breath to bring a sense of calm and relaxation. This technique can help to quickly reduce stress and bring a sense of balance to your mind and body.
