MINDFUL WALKING
Mindful walking combined with breath awareness involves focusing on each step and breath as you walk. This practice can help to cultivate mindfulness and promote a sense of calm and presence. Find a quiet place where you can walk slowly and without distractions. Stand comfortably with your feet hip-width apart and your shoulders re laxed. Take a few deep breaths to settle in. Begin walking slowly, coordinating your breath with your steps. In hale deeply through your nose for a count of three steps, feeling the air fill your lungs. Exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of three steps, releasing all the air from your lungs. Focus on the sensation of your feet touching the ground and the rhythm of your breath. If your mind wanders, gently bring your atten tion back to your steps and breath. Continue walking mindfully for 5 to 10 minutes, or longer if desired. The mindful walking with breath practice can help to cultivate mindfulness and promote a sense of calm and presence, making it easier to stay grounded in the moment.
