MOUNTAIN BREATHING

Mountain breathing involves visualizing your breath as the move ment of air up and down a mountain. This practice can help to cultivate mindfulness and promote relaxation by engaging your imagination and focusing on the breath. Sit comfortably with your spine straight and shoulders relaxed. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to settle in. Begin by visualizing a mountain in your mind’s eye. As you inhale deeply through your nose, imagine your breath rising up the side of the mountain, reaching the peak as your lungs fill com pletely. As you exhale slowly through your mouth, imagine your breath descending the other side of the mountain, reaching the base as your lungs empty completely. Continue this pattern, visualizing the breath moving up and down the mountain with each inhale and exhale. Focus on the imagery and the sensation of the breath, allowing it to bring a sense of calm and relaxa tion. Continue this practice for 5 to 10 minutes, or longer if desired. The mountain breathing visualization can help to cultivate mindfulness and promote a deep sense of peace and relaxation.
