BREATH FOCUS MEDITATION
Breath focus meditation involves paying close attention to the breath, noticing each inhale and exhale. This practice can help to cultiv ate mindfulness and reduce stress by grounding your awareness in the present moment. Sit comfortably with your spine straight and shoulders relaxed. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to settle in. Begin by bringing your attention to your breath, noticing the sensation of the air entering and leaving your nostrils. As you inhale deeply through your nose, feel the cool air entering your nostrils and filling your lungs. As you exhale slowly through your mouth, feel the warm air leaving your body. Focus on the sensation of the breath, observing each inhale and exhale without trying to change it. If your mind wanders, gently bring your attention back to your breath. Continue this practice for 5 to 10 minutes, or longer if desired. The breath focus meditation can help to cultivate mindfulness and pro mote a sense of calm and relaxation.
