NIGHTTIME NADI SHODHANA

Nadi Shodhana, or alternate nostril breathing, is a balancing practice that can help to calm the mind and prepare the body for sleep. Perform ing this technique at night can aid in reducing anxiety and promoting restful sleep. Sit comfortably with your spine straight and shoulders relaxed, or lie down if preferred. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to settle in. Bring your right hand up to your face, using your thumb to close your right nostril. Inhale slowly and deeply through your left nostril, filling your lungs completely. Close your left nostril with your right ring finger, and release your right nostril. Exhale slowly and completely through your right nos tril. Now, inhale deeply through your right nostril, filling your lungs with air. Close your right nostril with your thumb, and release your left nostril. Exhale slowly and completely through your left nostril. Continue this pattern of alternate nostril breathing for 5 to 10 minutes. Focus on the steady and even rhythm of your breath, allowing each inhale and exhale to calm your mind and body. This practice can help to reduce stress and promote relaxation, mak ing it easier to drift off to sleep.
