GENTLE STRETCHING
Combining gentle stretching with deep breathing can help to release physical tension and promote relaxation. This practice can be particu larly effective for reducing stress and increasing flexibility. Begin by standing or sitting comfortably with your spine straight and shoulders relaxed. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to settle in. As you inhale deeply through your nose, raise your arms overhead, stretching towards the sky. Hold the stretch for a moment, feeling the length and openness in your body. As you exhale slowly through your mouth, lower your arms back down to your sides, releasing any tension. Continue this pattern for 5 to 10 minutes, incorporating gentle stretches with each inhale and exhale. You can add side stretches, gentle twists, or forward bends as you feel comfortable. Focus on the connec tion between your breath and movement, allowing each stretch and breath to release stress and promote relaxation.
