POST-WORKOUT RECOVERY
This post-workout breathwork script focuses on promoting relaxa tion and aiding muscle recovery after physical activity.
Lie down comfortably on your back with your arms at your sides and your legs slightly apart. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to settle in. Begin by inhaling deeply through your nose, filling your lungs completely. Exhale slowly and completely through your mouth, releasing any tension in your body. Continue this pattern, focusing on long, slow ex hales to promote relaxation. Visualize any tension or fatigue leaving your muscles with each exhale. After a few minutes, switch to a more focused breath: Inhale deeply through your nose for a count of four, hold the breath for a count of four, and exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of six. Repeat this cycle for 5 to 10 minutes. The extended exhale can help to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and aiding in muscle recovery.
