Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy Bundle (444 pages)

Engage in a Dialogue:

"Begin to communicate with this part. You might say, 'Hello, I am here to get to know you better. How are you feeling?' Allow the part to respond in whatever way it does. Listen with compassion and curiosity. Ask open-ended questions, such as 'What do you want me to know?' or 'How can I support you?'" "As you listen to the part, acknowledge its feelings and experiences. You might say, 'I hear you and I understand. Thank you for sharing this with me.' Let the part know that you appreciate its presence and its role in your internal system."

Listen and Acknowledge:

Offer Support:

"Ask the part what it needs from you to feel supported and safe. You might hear a request for more attention, reassurance, or a specific action you can take. Promise the part that you will do your best to provide what it needs."

Express Gratitude:

"Before concluding your meeting, express gratitude to the part for joining you and sharing its feelings. You might say, 'Thank you for being here and for talking with me. I appreciate you.'"

Transition Back:

"When you are ready to conclude the meditation, gently let the part know that it can return to its place within your internal system. Visualize it moving back to where it feels most comfortable and safe. Slowly bring your awareness back to your breath, and take a few deep inhales and exhales."
